Our Impactful Projects in Pharmaceuticals, Nutrition and Skin Health

Prados has a proven track record of delivering impactful projects in the fields of pharmaceuticals, nutrition, and skin health. With a client base spanning multiple countries, we have expertise in creating innovative solutions to meet the diverse needs of our partners.

Drug discovery services for companies such as Albert Labs and their mycelium-based extract, KRN-101. This involved target identification, analytical characterisation and validation. In addition, to comprehensive preclinical evaluations, including toxicology studies to evaluate safety and identify potential safety concerns for future pharmacokinetics trials. The team also provide drug discovery and preclinical research services to Ingenu CRO.

Therapeutic ready-made meals were developed that are safe and efficacious. Offering nutrition and environmental sustainability with a long shelf life of up to 60 days.

Albert Labs

Preclinical Animal Toxicology Study for Pharmaceutical Product

KRN 101 was being investigated for its first indication, cancer-related distress. However, before it could be tested in humans, preclinical toxicology studies were necessary to evaluate the safety of the proprietary mycelium-based API. Preclinical toxicology studies involved testing the drug’s toxicity, pharmacokinetics (how the drug was absorbed, distributed, metabolised, and excreted by the body), and potential for adverse effects on rats. These studies were designed to identify any potential safety concerns that may arise during the pharmacokinetics trials in humans.

Whistle Foods

Developing Science based therapeutic meals specifically for Cancer and Diabetic Patients

Therapeutic ready-made meals are made by selecting appropriate ingredients for specific health conditions, like cancer or diabetes, and cooking them in their packaging using the Micvac process. This method preserves their freshness and nutritional value while also reducing food waste and providing a long shelf life of up to 60 days. These convenient and nutritious meals can help manage and prevent health issues while being environmentally sustainable.

Albert Labs

Drug Discovery, Technology Transfer of Production Process, and Stability Testing

Successful execution of drug discovery and technology transfer of production process for KRN 101. KRN-101 is an investigational mycelium-based drug product extracted from Albert Labs’ patented process. The lab employed their expertise in microbiology and analytical characterization, validation, including purification and formulation development, to produce the mycelium extract and formulate it into a standardized pharma-grade product. Additionally, stability testing was performed to ensure product efficacy during storage. The lab’s successful execution of these processes demonstrates its ability to develop and produce high-quality pharmaceutical products.

Cannabis Science

Completing the Preclinical Study for the cannabinoid based cancer killing therapy

Cannabis Science was collaborating with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard to investigate the potential of using cannabinoids in combination with radiotherapy and immunotherapy to treat different types of cancer. Prados Labs’ preclinical studies, which include drug discovery, animal toxicology, and in vitro and in vivo experiments, aim to validate the efficacy and safety of cannabinoid-based therapies for cancer, with a focus on developing treatments for drug-resistant or intolerant patients.

Ingenu CRO

Preclinical Research for Ingenu specialising in cannabinoids and psychedelics

Prados Labs provides various drug discovery and preclinical research services to INgenu CRO clients, including expertise in target identification and validation, hit identification and lead optimization, ADMET studies, chemical synthesis and scale-up, in vitro and in vivo studies, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies, and safety and toxicology studies. This partnership would allow INgenu CRO to offer a wider range of resources and expertise to their clients, which would improve the drug development process and increase the likelihood of success in clinical development.

Anti Anxiety & Sleep

Naturally Occuring Bioactives to Aid with Anxiety and Related Insomnia

This project will examine the anxiolytic potential of naturally occurring compounds through a drug discovery research process and analysis for potential market as additives to beverages, nutraceuticals, novel foods, and pharmaceuticals. The project will focus on non-controlled substances that are commercially viable in terms of production costs, and can be added as supplements to food and beverages. Ultimately, the goal is to identify potential new products for the market that can help alleviate anxiety in a safe and natural way. In addition to anxiety, this project will also investigate the potential of the identified naturally occurring compounds to alleviate sleep-induced insomnia.

Research

Cutting-Edge Research in Addiction, Mental Health and More

Dedicated to continuing the investigation of natural bioactives to discover novel anxiolytic medicines and nutraceuticals. Our goal is to provide safe and effective solutions for mental health. We are also researching the use of psychedelic-assisted therapies for addiction and use disorders.

Our commitment to achieving necessary regulatory submissions and approvals for the commercialization of these solutions underscores our dedication to improving the quality of life for individuals suffering.
